Needing Ideas
Since we live in Minnesota and it will continue to be winter until about June - I am asking for ideas, things to do. Mainly ideas for things to do inside with my darling 14 month old. Outings are good too, but I don't need to be spending a bunch of money. So let's hear them. Endless ideas . . . ready go!

I don't have any really great ideas. But I laughed when I read this because when you have the baby you will probably be saying that you have too much to do. What I do is I have 3 kids, a ton of laundry, and I work from home part-time. Enjoy doing NOTHING!
Salt play dough (if she eats it, it's not the end of the world and she won't try it twice.)
Bubble blowing
get her naked and help her finger/foot/hand paint.
I'm all out.
treasure hunt for her animals, well maybe hide and seek.
do finger paints as said above with pudding so she can eat it.
get her coloring all the time.
annie says to play barbies.
turn on music and dance!
we love the library.
just found out almost all museums here have a free day each month--check into that out there.
have mommy/kid lunch dates at home--invite friends over and you all have fun and day goes much faster!
sorry thats all the creativity we've got.
oh yeah, meander around target and costco-dont have to buy!

it was rainy here for a week so we played with play dough a lot (lots of recipes to make it so it's cheap)
hide and seek (as mentioned) really, jorgen LOVES that game and will just start playing it by himself waiting for me to come find him.
blocks (if she doesn't have any, i'd suggest investing in some - all of your kids will like them and you could go with duplo legos or just simple blocks - there is a cool container of them from toysrus i think where the opening to the container has the different shapes so when you put them away you put them away in which shape they fit into - i want them:D.
draw pictures for grand parents and send them (or for anyone)

(click on activities, and then preschool - there are some we've done that i bet darla would like)
both of those have good ideas of projects and things to do...most of which are done with things you have already or are easy to buy at the craft store.
make a picture book with pictures of all of her cousins/aunts/uncles/g-parents and go through it to help her remember them. that would be an amazing feat since you have SO many!
i love the free museums idea that someone posted. we try and do stuff like that. i know home depot and lowes have free project days once a month that i have been wanting to take jorgen to. they say they're for older kids but i asked and a toddler would have fun, you'd just have to help her (obviously). i bed darla would have fun hammering:)
dance parties - wicked or michael jackson are my favorites (i'm working at adding more children's music to the parties but my kids tend to like the other stuff more:D)
ok, when i think of more i'll let you know. that's just what came to mind. sorry this is so long!
Make a tent house together with couch cushions and blankies and pretend to "camp" or better yet-- take a nap together in it? (If she is that flexible in sleeping places--maybe not...)
Finger paint with chocolate pudding. A definite winning memory.
Thread yarn through Fruit Loops or Cheerios or noodles to make necklaces.
Color a postcard to mail to cousins.
Make bread dough for dinner and let her shape the dough into whatever tiny little creations.
Sing a song for a neighbor (singing telegram) or sing one over the phone for Grandma. Go to a rest home and make a friend. Make cookies to take to someone in your ward.
I'm tired just thinking about it. Think I'll go lay down now... :)
